The Renegades are an Auckland based upbeat acoustic covers band. They don't need a drum kit or screaming electric guitars!!
The music they play is highly appealing and popular with all ages without being the same as every other covers band.
The Renegades have a great balanced sound and make it work for any occasion. They have played everything from large outdoor festivals to corporate events to weddings to 21st's to 70th's and even very small intimate gigs in lounges, all with great success!!
The Renegades can play VERY loud to VERY quiet!!
Band Members:
Mark Borg (Pencil) keeps the rhythm on the cajun drum (box)
Chris Culverwell on the Gibson j200 acoustic guitar. (It sounds sweeeeet)
Ray Power (Huckelberry Ray) on his customised Les Paul (black magic)
Ray also plays the Bass in a few songs as well. He's a man of many talents.
Jamie Rowe covers the vocals with the assistance of Mark Borg (Pencil) embellishing songs with his occasional banjo and angel like harmonies.
Jamie also adds to mix the foot borine, harmonica, mini keyboard and the shaker, not to forget his gretsch hollow body electromatic guitar, the black pearl.
The Renegades look forward to entertaining you soon.
