Ray and Suzie
This act has evolved out of some events organised by Pete McGregor of PME.
Ray Woolf and Suzanne Lynch are two of New Zealands' best known and loved entertainers (see their bios elsewhere on this site). Pete thought it would be fun to combine them with a top trio led by another NZ icon Mike Walker to put on a night's entertainment as a feature evening in 2006. It was so successful that the formula has been repeated several times since then to great audience enjoyment and acclaim.
A normal performance starts with a set of swing / jazz numbers by Suzanne followed by a set of swing hits by Ray. The pair then combine for a final rock and roll set to really end the evening on a high note. The singers are backed by a top trio of musicians led by Mike Walker.
These are 2 great entertainers who are extremely energetic on stage with heaps of audience involvement and fun. Lot's of hits that everyone knows and they are happy if you want to get up and dance (you will).
This is ideal entertainment feature for any event where the audience wants to watch and enjoy as well as dance, it also works great for serviced club or RSA etc. The act can be shortened if required to a short cameo appearance suited for a conference feature.
This is quality entertainment from two of New Zealand's best.
Hi Robyn
Be assured we had a fantastic event and enjoyed the entertainment

Hello Kellie. The entertainment on Sunday last was as good as anything we have had for at least the last 12 yrs (that is when I became President). They were all magnificent and everyone was thrilled to bits. I’ll keep in touch.

Hi Pete,
Just a note to say how we enjoyed the fabulous show you performed at the Waiuku Cossi last night I recieved heaps of good comments last night and today expressing how enjoyable the night was.
Most of us see Suzy on tv from time to time backing singers on "stars in their eyes" etc, she has a great voice and has done a lot to help new tallent the skills required to get the best from their performances. The Waiuku crowd love her to bits, we may get her back sometime in the future.
Ray has retained his singing voice, where has he been hiding? havn't heard much about him recently. He is still a great entertainer and I think "mac the knife" was written for him to sing.
Great band, great entertainment happy crowd, couldn't ask for more.
Thanks again.

Pete. Fantastic show, the locals will talk about this one for quite some time. Your whole Trio, Ray and Suzanne showed us that good music comes from the heart and sole!
There is actually no other way of explaining it, other than how you projected your enjoyment onto us, you all played from the heart.
Thank you, we look forward to more next year and putting something together for outdoor concert.
Cheers
