Effervescence plays jazz, and sophisticated jazz arrangements of modern songs. They can perform as solo piano, piano and bass duo, trio with a vocalist, and they also perform with guests. Effervescence is Niduk Wijetilleke on piano and keyboards, Guy Halpé on fretless, 6-string and upright bass, and Mike Murane on vocals.
Niduk holds a Bachelor’s degree in music from Berklee College of Music, Boston and has performed internationally for many years. Guy too has vast experience and has been performing in New Zealand for the past sixteen years in many bands.
Niduk’s previous work experience includes more than ten years of performing in the finest hotels of Dubai. This includes a three-year residency at Dubai Grand Hyatt as the house pianist.
Ideal for: music for restaurants, corporate functions, concerts, wedding receptions and hotel contracts. Their music can range from either being in the background to a very engaging performance.
