Pieter’s voice (likened to Mose Allison, Nat King Cole and Chet Baker) - is just as crisp on upbeat contemporary material by artists such as Sting, Lennon & McCartney, Elton John & Billy Joel, - as it is with those “Golden Oldies & Standard Favorites” by Legrand, Bernstein, Lloyd-Webber, Bacharach, Mancini, Gershwin, Cole Porter, & Rodgers & Hammerstein.
Holding an honors degree in Jazz Piano performance & teachers diploma, from New Zealand, Pieter is highly versed in all styles of Piano - from “swingin” walkin bass; to flowing melodic lines. He equally enjoys performing contemporary popular repertoire leaving audiences delighted with his creative touch to often requested pop and rock tunes.
