Miss Lavida's Hotsy Totsy Revue - It’s the cat’s pyjamas

For your entertainment, a series of short acts of music, dance and comedy performed by Miss La Vida

The Hotsy Totsy Revue is a solo 1920s themed show, made up of short acts of song, dance and mime, performed by Miss La Vida. The show has been performed at top 1920s events around NZ including Art Deco Weekend Napier and MOTAT’s Prohibition Party.

The show’s default format is: a fan dance with large ostrich fans, a tap dance, singing 2 songs accompanied on the banjolele, and an improvised mime scene in the style of Charlie Chaplin involving three audience members.

Depending on your event and the location, the show can be tailored to have certain acts. The tap dance can be substituted for a jazz dance if there isn’t a suitable floor to tap on, and the fan dance can be substituted for a burlesque fan dance with partial nudity involved if you want a more risque finale.

The total running time of the show is approximately 20 minutes. All four acts can be performed as one show of 20 minutes, or split into 4 separate acts to be performed throughout the evening.
