turns them into jazz … The Beatles … Led Zeppelin … David Bowie … Queen … Pink Floyd …
Adele … ABBA … Elton John … The White Stripes … Dragon … Eagles … Radiohead … and so
many, many more … all jazzed! The Curio Club can also mix in some beloved jazz standards
done in their own style, when these are the perfect accompaniment for your event.

ESTABLISHED & EXPERIENCED
The Curio Club is a long-established and experienced band within Christchurch’s music
scene, having performed for many public events and private functions, for Councils,
corporates, organisations, charities, bars, restaurants, as well as for festivals, concerts,
product launches, conferences, private parties and special occasions.

VOCAL & INSTRUMENTAL OPTIONS
The Curio Club can perform as a vocal trio (vocals, piano, bass), and / or as an instrumental
trio (piano, bass, drums) – two bands in one! Most performances include alternating sets of
vocal music and instrumental music, but to ensure the very best fit for your event, the
choice of having only one or the other is yours. Being a trio also helps The Curio Club keep
costs down and stay compact on-stage.

“THE CURIONS” – MAX, DAVE & LUCY
Experienced musicians and seasoned performers, The Curio Club loves to entertain and
provide just the right atmosphere and interaction for your event, with Max Tocker on piano,
Dave Pitt on upright bass, and Lucy Daws on drums or vocals. Dave is also a wonderful MC
and can add his talents to ensure smooth transitions throughout your event.

COMMUNICATION
Large or small, The Curio Club always aims to work in perfectly with your event. By staying in
communication, providing a detailed run-sheet where necessary, offering a site visit, and
assisting with music-choice and stage set-up recommendations when needed, means The
Curio Club is always fully prepared to work to schedule on the day, while remaining
adaptable to last moment changes.

LIGHTING & SOUND
To ensure the perfect focal point for your event, The Curio Club loves delivering that full
sight and sound experience, so they come complete with all the lighting and sound
equipment required – and with all the technical knowledge and experience to match.

MARQUEE & GENERATOR
The Curio Club also has the additional feature of being able to provide a professional grade,
4.5mx3m, black marquee for outdoor events – just perfect for creating a covered outdoor
stage area – and if your event is ‘off the grid’, The Curio Club has its own power generator.
