Hipnotics feature lead singer LaDean Malifa who recently returned to Aotearoa from Australia where she has been a full-time singer and perfomer for the past 12. On bass is one of NZ’s most celebrated musical exports, Simon Koperu, who too has recently returned to NZ after a dynamic career as one of Japan’s leading bass players, performing on countless sessions and recordings and with a host of International stars. From the Hootenannies we have Jeanette (saxophone), Helen (trumpet), and Sonya (trombone). David Greer is one of NZ's most experienced live artists and plays guitar and also sings. On drums is 21 year old new kid on the block, drummer Baileigh Sparks, and the band is rounded off by its musical director, Caleb Brbich (keyboards).
